                                                                    Urban VFR Routes Jeddah

1 .Purpose

The purpose of this AIP SUP is to inform the operators and airspace users regarding the new VFR procedures comprising UVRs, serving Jeddah City and Jeddah CTR

2 .Procedure for VFR flights

Note : The following procedures are supplementary to procedures published in ENR 1.2 Visual Flight Rules.

2.1 VFR Traffic and ATC Clarance:

a) VFR flights must adhere to the established routes and follow the designated VFR reporting points (VRPs).  

b) VFR routes are recommended routes and may be modified upon pilot’s request or as directed by ATC. 

2.2 Altitudes Restrictions:

a) The maximum UVR altitude is 500 FT AGL, and any request for higher altitude is subject to ATC approval. 

2.3 Pilot Responsibility:


a) Pilots are required to obtain ATC clearance to operate within controlled airspace.  

b) Pilots are responsible for monitoring other traffic along VFR routes. 

c) Pilots are responsible for conducting takeoff and landing from/to the assigned areas.

d) Pilots are responsible for seeing and avoiding terrain and obstacles.  

e) Pilots must maintain a listening watch on the assigned ATC frequency. 

 f) Pilots must consult KSA AIP, AIP SUP, and NOTAMs for the latest aeronautical information. 

2.4 Additional Information:

a) Aircraft intending to utilize UVR from point AZIZI to VRP01 must first hold at AZIZI and request clearance to transition the CTR from TWR-E on 118.500 MHz. 

b) Aircraft intending to utilize UVR from point VRP01 to AZIZI must first hold at VRP01 and request clearance to transition the CTR from TWR-E on 118.500 MHz. 

c) No aircraft under any circumstances shall enter or exit OEJN CTR without clearance from Jeddah Aerodrome Control Tower. 

d) Clearance for the utilization of OEJN CTR is subject to operational conditions.
